Hello world, didn't see you there

That was to brace you for the cheesiness. It doesn't get better from here.

My name is Rich Perkins. I'm trying to create a persona named Cl'amour (a sort of bilingual portmanteau meaning love and noise), but that's only kind of the point of this website. The real point is to get an A on an assignment. Just kidding, it's about...well, let me tell you a story for context.

A week before I turned 8, my family had to evacuate our unquaint, rural Arizona home due to the Rodeo-Chedeski fire. The fire had two names because it was caused by not one person, but two. They both did something that left old Smokey bear shaking his canvas cap, and the two little fires got together and made a big one, causing 7 year olds like me to flee with as much terror as a 7 year old can muster over real world problems.

I guess there wasn't a huge rush, because we stopped at Denny's a town over. Actually, we might have just stayed in that town, I don't remember exactly. But at that Denny's, there was a group of Hispanic people enjoying the American dining. I found myself staring at them as the sounds rrrrolled out of their mouths. It might as well have been magic. I have no idea what they said, but it must have been funny because they all started laughing very loudly. Amazed at this, I turned to my mom and whispered, "They just laughed in English."

My love of language and laughter has not died since then, and I've become obsessed with being an entertainer. I'm not yet a great entertainer, but I'm slowly getting there, and THAT is the point of this website.

I've noticed that anyone on the internet who is making a living at it, or at least is fairly popular, has a) been doing it a long time and b) been posting stuff way before they really should have been sharing.

So I thought, hey, if I have to make a website based on budding talent, I might as well showcase my other budding talents, even if it all looks amateur. So that's what I'm doing.
